MEP Linda McAvan has been a Member of the European Parliament since 1998 and has served as Vice President of the European Parliament's Socialist Group since June 2007. She is the Vice-Chair of the ACP-EU Joint Parliamentary Assembly and currently sits on the Temporary Committee on Climate Change. She is also a member of the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety Committee (ENVI). In addition to these roles, she is a substitute member on the Committee on Development (DEVE) and the Delegation for relations with the countries of Central America.
MEP McAvan is very involved with health issues, particulary the prevention and control of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) and has also worked on increasing the awareness and regulating the pharmacovigilance of medicinal products for human use at the European Parliament.
Health First Europe is glad to welcome MEP McAvan as a supporter and looks forward to our future collaboration.
