Health First Europe welcomes MEP Michèle Rivasi as a new Supporter

Health First Europe is very happy to welcome MEP Michèle Rivasi (Greens/EFA, France) as a new MEP Supporter. MEP Rivasi is a Vice-Chair of the Delegation to the ACP-EU Joint Parliamentary Assembly. She is a Member of the Committee on Industry, Research and Energy (ITRE) and Delegation to the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly. She also acts as a Substitute Member of the Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food (ENVI) and for the Delegation for relations with Belarus.

MEP Rivasi has been very involved in various areas relating to the health sector. She has been involved in Tuberculosis issues in European and Developing Countries as well as in promoting the prevention and control of non-communicable diseases at the EU level. She also wrote a report on the evaluation of the management of H1N1 influenza in 2009-2010 in the EU. In addition, as a Green party Member, she is very active in nuclear issues such as nuclear safety standards or radioactive contamination of foodstuffs.
